Kazi IT holds the largest career boot camp in Bangladesh: 20 participants get appointed on the spot

With six thousand participants joining from different corners of the country, Kazi IT host the largest career boot camp in Dhaka on November 11 at Hall of Fame of Bangabandhu International Conference Center. Kazi IT, Bangladesh’s one of the largest BPO, hosted this event in collaboration with Leveraging ICT for Growth, Employment & Governance (LICT) Project of ICT. This day-long session was divided into two part and went from 9 AM in the morning until 6 PM. These six thousand participants and another several thousand viewers from Kazi IT Page got the opportunity to send a presentation and had the chance to land on a highly paid job at Kazi IT during the boot camp.

Zunaid Ahmed Palak MP, the state minister for ICT division joined as the Chief Guest at the closing session. He handed over the appointment letters to 20 people who were recruited from this very boot camp. The state minister during his speech informed: ‘It’s an absolute pleasure to be part of this great initiative by Kazi IT. We, ICT Division through our LICT Project, was part of this initiative have done some job fair before. But for the first time, we are conducting career grooming as well recruiting. This alone will help our jobseekers standout in the crowd in long run.’

He added: ‘We have a very simple target – USD 5 Billion export from IT & ITES by 2021.  And in order to do that, we have to create at least 2 million capable manpower. Through LICT project, we are training students who are going to join the workforce. And Kazi IT is helping us in that mission. So my gratitude and heartfelt best wish goes to Mike Kazi, CEO of Kazi IT and his team’.

In addition to that, Wahid Sharif, President, BACCO and Munir Hasan, General Secretary of BdOSN attended the closing ceremony as a special guest.

The boot camp had some exciting sessions. Industry-leading speakers, career consultants including Quazi M Ahmed, Lead Consultant & CEO of FutureLeaders conducted a session on ‘Building Confidence and Positivity for Success at Workplace’; G. Sumdany Don, Chief Inspirational Officer at Don Sumdany Facilitation & Consultancy conducted a session on ‘Why Collaboration Matters’; Ayman Sadiq, Founder and CEO, 10 Minute School conducted a session on ‘Professional Grooming for Dream Career’; Jishu Tarafder, Chief Consultant at CORPORATECOACH conducted a session on ‘Creative Problem Solving’; customer service & business communications trainer Rushdina Khan conducted a session on ‘Effective Communication at Work’ and Moinuddin Chowdhury conducted a session on ‘7 Secrets to Learning English’.
