Robi to support National High School Programming Contest

Robi will support the government’s National High School Programming Contest initiative.

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division of Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications & Information Technology (MoPT &IT) is organizing the nation-wide programming contest. The contest will commence on 29th April 2015.

The announcement was made at a press conference held today at Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) Bhaban Auditorium.

The nation-wide programming contest will be organized in more than 400 schools from 64 districts of the country. District level programming contest will take place at a designated school in each district. Following the district level competition the national high school programming contest will move to Divisional level, said a press release.

One hundred contestants in six different categories from across the country will qualify to take part in the final leg of the competition to be held at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). There will be one winner in each category.

State Minister for ICT Division, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP was present in the press conference as the Chief Guest. Besides, Shyam Sunder Sikder, Secretary, ICT Division; Professor Mohammad Kaykobad from BUET and Robi’s Executive Vice President for Brand and Market Communications Toffael Rashid were present at the press conference as Special Guests.
